  • question back in 2010 i see you post on a guys thread about the trim system you made. green nozzle and green ride plate if that helps you remember if you dont have the ski anymore. but i am making one too and just wondering if it hit your rideplate and what you did to fix that. i have an ocean pro ride plate and it has like ribs on the bottom.

    Thanks
sxipro02 you remove the plastic that is bolted on to your side rails. the matting glue will not adhere to those. sand the fiberglass really well to get all of the paint off of where the matting is going to lay. make it rough bare fiberglass for best results. the matting replaces the plastic and looks wayyy better
Hey man, You seem to know your ski stuff pretty good. I hate asking stupid questions on here all the time but the more I think about turfing the more that come up. When you turf your side rails do you remove the rails and turf where they were or do you actually turf the rails? Also when doing the holds do I need to put foam on the upper section of the foot holds? if so I think I will need to cut the holds in half and raise them up a bit for clearance. Shouldnt be a big deal since the stiched pockets dont have bottoms in them. I've looked at tons of pics but cant figure this out, I've been in florida all week for work and its been driving me nuts. Thanks, Aaron
