I started going back to the gym Monday , I started once before but did not see it through , we have a fairly large local gym that used to be the YMCA , the city bought it and is now running it , they put in all new Cybex machines a few years ago , depending on when I go , which is usually at 8:00 AM , I mostly have the whole weight - machine room to myself .
I want to start charting my progress and see if I can reach my goal of losing 50 lbs and building muscle mostly to have more energy , stamina and get back to riding standups next year.
I started by just toning on resistance machines mostly and am up on the leg press starting at 110 lbs Monday and 50 reps to 190 lbs and 100 reps today so apparently my muscles are waking up nicely so far , most of the other exercises are around the 110 lb to 130 lbs , I also have been playing some basketball in between sets to keep loosened up , I want to chart it in a notebook so I can look back and see what exactly my progress is.
I would like to be around 250 to 300 lbs on the leg press and at least 200 -250 on the bench press when done .
I am using a combo of light weight and lots of reps , following it up with high weights and low reps on other days , I pane to do maybe Monday -Wed - Friday taking off a day in between so my muscles can play catchup , we will see how it all pans out .
