66e 800R Zeel Help

Planning on running a Zeel A02T in a WB1 66e laydown build and ran into 1 slight issue.

The 66e runs an extra 4 pin connector on the CDI when compared to the 760.

According to the manual it looks like the only thing this 4 pin controls is the PV servo.

Since I’m running Riva Rave Valves on this build am I safe to delete it and just run the A02T Zeel with the 760 connector or am I overlooking something?

Got an answer from someone running the 1300 NPV cylinder 800 B1.

You can run the 760 Plug A02T and bypass the 2nd harness completely as it only controls the PV motor and doesn’t affect ignition etc.

This also technically means that if you remove the PV’s from your GP800 you can also just unplug this connection in the ebox on the stock CDI.

The only thing that you might want to do is swap the 800 regulator/rectifier and starter solenoid with a 62T one to be certain you won’t blow the A02T.

I'm not seeing how it makes any sense to use the 62t reg/rectifier. The 66e stator is very different than the 62t or 64x, it has a higher ouput current, so the 66e uses a beefier rectifier regulator to go with it. If anything swapping to the wimpier 62t one would risk damaging the 62t reg/rectifier.

Both are designed to charge the same 12 volt battery, to me the whole 66e electrical system is an upgrade over 62t or 64x.
