Xp 720 battery light on with new battery

Hey, battery light came on and won't go off. I just trickled battery the other day. Is that an issue with this model. The light coming on for no good reason?

There is probably water inside the gauge.

Check to see if it’s charging while running anything over 13v is charging , if not most likely the voltage regulator and or stator
