RRP Exhaust Flow control valve on water box?

I am building up a Edge and running a RRP carbon exhaust , tpe964. Would you guys run a flow control valve to the waterbox? I will be riding a few areas that have kinda long 5mph zones.

The hull came with the exhaust and the guy had a flow control installed, the RRP instructions do not show one.

They're obnoxiously loud and since they're a straight through style box, water easily back flows through your exhaust back into the engine. As far as power difference is concerned, the difference will be minimal.

Before i realized what was causing my issue I wiped out a fresh 1200 twice and a 760. Legit non stop water ingestion with that box and on the bigger motors you don’t really realize it while they’re running. Oh you want to load your ski up on the cart? Engine full of water. Oh put it on the stand? Engine full of water. Land wrong? Full of water.
Rrp die hard fans will cope and tell you to mount the box higher but all you’ll do is waste 40 bucks on a foam block and blow your engine up anyways.
Infact the rrp waterbox has single-handedly caused me more financial grief than any other “part” on any other recreational vehicle ever.
I’m pretty sure it was put on this earth solely to smite my engines down. Simply thinking of it or seeing an object similar in shape causes me to start seething and shaking in a fit of rage.

Most will say XScream. I cannot remember who else is making them. Some reason I am thinking Jetmaniac may have came out with one, I have his in my Edge (B Pipe).

Think most are just using the stock PFP box. Jet maniacs with the bung for water injection to quiet it down looks pretty nice too. I would recommend the hose from Tc freeride
