Superjet Bogs

just making sure the forgotten and often overseen has not been forgotten and overseen .... fuel cap seal ok ? tank vent ok ? .... when it runs u tried feeding mopre fuel with primer ? what happens
Fuel system holds pressure, tank check valve is new and functioning.
I am not skilled enough to hang on, steer, feather the throttle and pump a primer, LOL. Need a 3rd hand.

How did the diaphragms look, I replace mine every 2 years. Also check to be sure your fuel lines are not sucking air, have a tight connection to the hoses.
Diaphragms looked nice and soft, held pressure when on so not holding the lever arms down either.
Fuel lines were Jet Maniac premium with the stainless locking Thomas & Betts ties and no air leaks. I will double check again though.

Could be that the Flywheel Magnets were damaged during the Flywheel machining/lightening process. This could explain low and intermittent Spark Energy power caused by a faulty Magneto.

You can pull electrical measurements from the Stator Wire Connectors to verify adequate voltage generation or install an A/M CDI that draws Spark Energy directly from the Battery, like an MSD Enhancer or a Zeeltronic. If it runs good off the Battery, then the Magneto is the issue.

Thanks JC, I will look into that too.

Congrats on finally getting Boat Anchor wet, huge milestone! That low-end bog sounds like rich low-speed or high pop-off. Try leaning LS screws a bit and double-check pop-off pressure. Solid once cleared out means you're close, great start!

Thanks.
Waiting on new needles and seats to arrive. Going through carbs again.
I’ll report back after water testing.

Ok, update on this.
Installed new 1.5 Mikuni needles and seats, new 115 gram springs, 75 pilots, diaphragms and fuel pump parts. All the old stuff looked perfect but why not...

Ski runs normal now. It isn't as snappy as my sons stock 61X/61X in his square nose but that has a Group K milled head. Mine does feel faster just not as snappy off the bottom. Not sure if that is normal for the 61X/62T or not. Still need to mess with the LS screws too.
It is perfectly rideable now though.
