TPE engines backstory

I had one of the first batches of 900 and had some issues with it, Erik was the coolest and most helpfull guy to deal with - really a geninue stand up honest guy - unlike alot of people in this industry.
So no wonder that Tony aka xerox grapped the chance to make money on another product that other people spend alot of money and hours on R&D - he did.

I personally think we did everyone a favor. Your response is pretty much irrelevant and shows your lack of knowledge on the subject to be honest.

i had 4 tpe 1200s (all different) from erik, 2-1105 probably 8 964s. So many people are blind to what actually happened. Like ive said multiple times i have been there since day 1, funded projects and never got anything from it and never made a big deal about it. no one owns anything other than cpi. it was actually very enlightening to visit the foundry and get the real story also cool to see the molds and port maps that havent changed in 10 years. I can't wait til they finish our newest project.

This industry was and is built on people taking others ideas for their own use , it's nothing new and it won't stop anytime soon , I am glad to see these engines out in the market and in peoples skis, regardless of the backstory , history etc etc .

At least some people like Art at Jetworks have some class about it , Jack green came out with those angular discharge carbs under the name Jack green racing , when Art wanted to used the idea he approached Jacks widow about it , thus the name BlackJack carbs , there are right and wrong ways to do things.
In this instance I don't see that anything has been wrongly done by the people involved with JSN engines , that's just my perspective on it from the info I have seen , I am quite sure those originally involved with TPE see it differently .

There are so many things that I have come up with that other people have stolen and claimed as theirs it's no longer funny , usually I just let it slide , it does kind of make me laugh when I see people still trying to do it even today .

The difference is now I will call you out on your rewritten history BS in a redneck Alabama second , I won't continue to just let it slide anymore .

I just came across the thread. :) Id like to add that SB Products invested at least 10k in labor and material to develop and machine two prototypes of a stretched version of my SJ billet cases called the PRO SERIES :) specifically for TPE and Eriks new cylinder design, at the time, to make room to put loop transfers in both sides of the cylinder that never got used. Just a verbal handshake deal to make a platform for the new cylinder because I believed in Erik and his design and they now sit in a cabinet at my shop. :(
