Well crap... I thought I remembered someone saying you can't use them on AM rings?

Alright guys I'm putting in a new replaceable wear ring (oem bubbled on me) I have 1/4" or so gap between pump tunnel and the plastic ring. Don't think this is right, but maybe it is...?

Well that makes me feel better about the shaft. But what about this prop... I can't even find a shred of info on it.

Had the same sort of problem on my SN... Made my own L bracket out of some scrap SS and ground out the old cable holder. Bolted it down using one of the existing rivet holes. Just an idea if you want to head down that road.

Sooo pulled my pump to put a new (to me) wear ring. Pulled the old wear ring and noticed 5-8 stamp on the impeller, also noticed what appears to be a welded and ground down driveshaft. Anyone have any advise? Change it, leave it, trade it, burn it... Ski was a 650 now has a 701 w/ protec pipe...

It sucked an extra two days out of my build... Works like a champ now though!

We'll swapmeet, your bracket would of probably worked if WSM sent me the correct cable... This cable was more than two inches longer than it should of been. I had to make a recessed "L" bracket, lock tab etc... Had to bomb out the oem cable holder, shorten the pole top an inch, and cut out gobs...

There's about 100 ways to skin that cat! And thanks for the complement!

That's basically what I did... But I cut the nose off, then taped around the inside of the hull so when I went to pull the foam out it came right out.

An easier route (and possibly better) would be to get a kit from carterB. Tested tried an true rocker nose, templates, the whole 9 yards.

Honestly it wasn't to hard, just time consuming and a lot of fiberglass n resin. If I had to do it again I probably just leave the hull alone and ride! Haven't ridden it yet so I can't say anything about performance but it's taken me two years to get to this point due to frustration with...
