Did the problem start immediately after the carb install? Why are you suspecting the fuel lines?

It took about 9 hours of continuous scraping and about 5 hour for me to install it over 3 nights.

Thanks, I am really happy with how it turned out. As far as the cleaning of the old turf and glue it took a combination of brute force, multiple scrapers, and I used krud kutter paint cleaner as a chemical so when the glue got loose it wouldn’t stick back down. Oh yeah and a bunch of 805’s

I finally got rid of the cat scratch og turf and got some Jettrim!

I don't see how the springs are the same for the SJ? I am not saying you are wrong I just don't understand how the SJ spring goes down into the pole bracket vs the Octane spring the does a curve where it meets the bracket?

Oh yeah and I removed the lame pole stay mechanism that seemed to not work from the factory. Added the Blowsion throttle and a Riva bar pad since the oem was cooked.

I got the new water lines installed and the problem is solved. It was the green goo inside the original lines that was allowing them to slip off the stainless pipes. Also changed the lines coming from the pump too. The new blue continental water lines complement the engine bay nicely. I went...

Its a rule 360 pump with a black strainer on the bottom. I have the power wire circled in the 2nd pic.
