I'm changing a 94 raider from 701 to a 760 and from a 144 to a 155 pump and the steering cable going from the 144 to the 155 is slightly to short and suggestions straight nozzle not a trim nozzle

i let someone put or should i say try to put a cylinder sleeve in my 760 (not a machine shop) and he got it half way and broke a chip off the top outer ring and left it like that and gave it back i was like wtf so needless to say need help can i salvage or do i need to get a new sleeve
