    Super Jet Ride Plate

Thanks Turbo and Baxt3r. Actually that helped. I took the SJ out today and feel like I made some progress with it. It was really only my second day ever riding a stand-up (except for a couple hours when i was a kid), so I'm really still gettin the basics down. Your comment helped though...

    Super Jet Ride Plate

I recently got my first jet ski. It's a 1990 square nose SJ with a stock 650, 162 psi in each piston. I think it's a pretty clean ride overall, and I'm really stoked it's got freestyle footholds already. It also had an aftermarket intake grate and a skat trak prop, but it's got a stock ride...

Super Jet Stripped fuel pump screw

Got it. Yeah, vrizi's idea is good. I am just doing the helicoil 'cause it'll be a little more "clean" in the end. Plus it'll be a good thing to become familiar with. I'll let y'all know how it comes out it the end. In the meantime, I hope everyone's out gettin some good ridin in and havin...

Super Jet Stripped fuel pump screw

So I just ordered the helicoil kit the get the repair the threads. It was about $30 on Amazon. Napa auto parts, Grainger and several other places wanted like $50 for the kit. VRIZI, that was a great idea and would totally work. I just saw your post though and had already decided to go the...

Super Jet Stripped fuel pump screw

I'm new to jet skis and bought a '90 square nose SJ and am rebuilding the carb to take care of a problem with it chokin out at high to mid throttle. This is the first time I've rebuilt a carburetor and I don't have a ton of mechanical experience. Just the basics. Just as I was finishing putting...

    Other Fiberglass repair

I took my carburetor off today and am getting ready to re-build it. Between the carburetor base and the intake manifold is a plate that sits between them and anchors the throttle cable for the carburetor. I'm calling that plate the "throttle plate". I don't know if that's what it's really...

    Other Fiberglass repair

The PVC stand I was planning on building proved to be way more expensive to make than I wanted to deal with, so I scratched that idea for today. The link to what I was going to follow is right here: http://www.theudells.com/PWC/gallery/dan/pwc_stand/PWC_stand.htm I was going to build...

    Other Fiberglass repair

I just got my fuel filters and the carb re-build kit. I think I'll be doing the rebuild today after I build a stand out of PVC for my SJ. I'm also gonna drain the bad gas and put some good stuff back in there before I do the re-build too. BTW, JetManiac got me the parts super fast and was good...

Here's a picture of the other side of my engine compartment. I think that might be the fuel filter in the upper right corner.

Thanks a lot Midlake! I'll hit up Jetmaniac for that strap and some fuel filters. BTW, how hard is it to rebuild the carb? It seems like something I should get comfortable doing, but it also seems like it could be a real can of worms.

    Other Fiberglass repair

Here's a picture of my engine compartment. As you can see there are no fuel filters. Is that while canister online above the fuel tank a check valve? What is a check valve for anyways?

Hey Midlake. Thanks for the props man. I'm stoked about the footholds too, and I'll definitely be checkin out the Tech FAQ. Thanks for mentioning 'em.
