Putting 38’s on that intake is like hanging the Mona Lisa in a outhouse... just cause you have it doesn’t mean you should use it. That big of bore change without a taper will Cause all kinds of weird tuning issues If you wanted the carbs to sit level your better off running an angled reed...
Soo in a string of bad luck I forgot to tighten down my intake bolts and my motor decided to ingest the O rings on the speed plate. Not a big deal but My mic. Took a crap so I can't measure it out at the moment does anyone know the size o rings used on a php intake speed plate?
A friend of mind did exactly that his thoughts were it be nice for maintenance and a extra storage spot. It was nothing but a leaking nightmare the amount of slamming and shock loads these hulls take its impossible to stay sealed up.

Iv seen that happen when a head or head gasket or a exhaust manifold is bad causing water ingestion. you can test it by temporarily kinking the water line and putting a wire tie to hold it kinked to the engine do a quick hole shot and shut it down so it doesn't over heat if it takes off you...

Another thing you ether need a +10mm longer shaft from jm or need to push back your midshaft 10mm and run a rrp midshaft coupler spacer to have proper spline alinement if not you will wear out your splines prematurely.
