I'm almost 10k into my hurricane. And that's not including buying a squarenose for all the parts. Rebuilt engine. Rebuilt Pump. Powerfactor. Fuel tank. Pole. Bracket. There's a ton of misc you need, but a complete ski.

Saw a 760 with b pipe and a head which still was running relatively low compression flip flat water in a phantom. Sooooo I'd say a 760 with the 4mm stroker would rip. No replacement for displacement!

If you build one the main tube should be at least 3/16" or 1/4" wall. Had one built for over two years now and zero issues. People stop me all the time at the ramp and ask me about it.

I think calling it a "better" chan is an understatement. I've seen with my own eyes every step of the process that goes into those hulls and there a bargain for the amount of labor and pride in those. Not to mention the customer service of josh is 110% all the time.

Phantom. Hands down.

I vote phantom. I own a hurricane and the quality is sub par. Phantoms ride easier, pop better and are more fun. But it all depends if you want a surf ski or a flat water ski.

Tsunami jet ski. Dudes had a shop there for 2-3 years. Has a bunch of stuff in stock. But doesn't have a lot of "freestyle" exp/parts.

Mk4 supra I've been building for a buddy. If people think I'm picky they should deal with these owners. Holy moly it can be intense. So that's why I'm a pretty detail oriented person. It's all about the small things and making sure things are "perfect"

There's a local dude here in sac (rancho Cordova to be exact) that carries a ton of ski stuff. Had some shims in stock. I ended up sanding off the powder coat from the base of the pump to get it into a better alignment and it worked pretty damn good. Only needed about .030-.040 on each...

Dropped off the engine, gonna bore it out to fit the .50mm pistons. And another thing I never see anybody mention is balancing, I come from a pretty strong auto background and balancing new components is pretty important. So there going to balance the Pistons and make sure the pins are the same...

Does the 2 part foam not float? Seems like it would be way easier to just pour that in there and just level it off for your tray?
