I ran an 828cc before this the same pump / prop. Had 44mm carbs then. Just upgraded to 46mm carbs, tpe 964. Hoping to keep my prop / pump setup the same for now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Recently purchased a freshly rebuilt TPE 964 and I’m wondering what you guys would recommend running for carbs. I have mikuni 44’s right now. Assuming I’d need to upgrade to at least 46’s? Correct you should't have to. But the way mine came from them it was all messed up. The driveshaft was touching the bulkhead. It was all sorts of out of alignment. We had to completely realign it, glad I checked otherwise the pump would've been shot on the first ride. I got the stage 2 kit from...

Did you pull the midshaft and check alignment of the drive shaft? Mine was terrible the way it came from them. I had to re-align/shim the entire pump.
