For your second post, that is some very useful information. Number 1, it tells me I'm not the only one with a exceptionally tight pivot bolt and #2, the pipe for leverage is a good idea. Carter, once I get it off and get a better look at it, I might decide to hit you up for your used pole...

I have to agree, the pics are awesome but pictures in general don't do the height and rotation these guys were getting justice. Next time I will attach a float to my waterproof camera and take out there with us to get some video footage.

PS - I just weighed the pole itself (stock sxr pole, stock chin pad, Star bar, grips, Wamilton's throttle lever, and stock turn plate) and total weight using my crappy 2 lb increment bathroom scale is +/- 15 lbs.

Ok, I broke my SXR handlepole last week in the surf and am in the process of fixing it. I'm going to re-glass it because $700 - $1,000 for an aftermarket one right now is not happening. I bailed on a big jump and it broke clean off at the base. I took all the cables off and have the pole free...

And I broke the pole on my SXR the first time I took it in the surf (last weekend). No limiter rope.

I don't know man, I accidentally doubled up once and mixed the gas-oil 25:1. It was so rich the ski kept bogging down and misfiring. It took me a while to realize what I did. I ended up siphoning the remaining gas out and putting it and the freshly mixed 5-gallons in my truck. I figure mixed...

The trick was figuring out how to get that hose clamp unfastened while it's under the upper part of the exhaust and not visible. Then I took a step back and saw the hose clamp's screw at an angle through a small gap reachable with a 14" socket extension. Good thing I have that extension set...
