Is this cable you Guys are getting from Terry Cable the same as the Xmetal one? We made a CATS using the xmetal cable and now need a cheap replacement but don't want to change the rest of the setup.

Most parts were Bead blasted, some paint that was still ok just got sanded. Then used 2 pak etch primer on bare alloy, then the top coat. You can use paint stripper.

I'm making sure it will be! He just hasn't ridden for a year so that will be interesting!

Take the Top piece off your original pole and fit it to the one you cut down otherwise its all going to get complicated. You can run a 96+ cable on a 08+ pole but you will have to fabricate a mounting bracket and its a bit of a hassle.

The best value for money mods I first did to my 09 was zero deg bars, Pole spring, intake grate and modifying the steering to make it turn quicker. Then stuff like bilge pump, Hood straps, and limiting rope since we mainly ride surf. And maybe some turf since that stock mat is so dam slippery...
