I have a random suggestion. Did you verify you have spark on BOTH cylinders? Or did you just pull one plug, check it, and go? I am really wondering if for some reason or another you only have spark on 1 cylinder, because based on what I've read, there is really no reason it shouldn't start by now.

Does it crank and not fire? Or not crank?
