Some info I came across. When there's a spark after releasing the start button it could be a bad battery. The starter pulls all the amps causing no spark. Seems the best battery is the PC625 12V Oddyssey Powersport...

fell across some more info, so it's possible that its a bad battery. the starter pulls all the amps to crank causing the spark on release of start. lol wow if it was the battery the whole time.......

Thanks everyone for the input. The engine does crank just only fires a couple times on release. Thing is I had the stator rewired by jetski solutions thinking that was the problem. I checked the plugs and saw only a single spark on release. The coil has also been replaced. ughhh im stumped...

The engine wont start at all when the start is held down, but sometimes on release it will turn over a couple times. Someone in another thread noted that this indicates something... Any ideas?

I'm having this same issue. Engine sputters turning a few times, after letting go of start. So far I've changed the coil ignition and stator with no luck. next is the carb rebuild. hope we can get this figured out

So I think this might be a wire that connects to the tachometer on certain models. ??? Do later years have a tach? whats throwing me off is that the enhancer is model specific. BTW im working on a 92 750 sx
