I am really thinking about making the move to NC, and was wondering if the surf up there is any different than here in FL. Not sure if this question is dumb because I know someone will say that "surf is surf" but I have never seen Carolina surf so any input would be great. Thanks

Ended up getting it welded up and re tapped and it worked great. Now the bike is gone and I have a 2007 rmz 450.

I got it in the mail and just to ever clear up suspicions of if a 450 camshaft housing will work with a 250, it will not work. The mounting holes are just a hair off so there would be no way to bolt it up. The camshaft housing did look good and I do appreciate the help.

Can you send pics of the cover off of your 450 and take some measurements for me? It could possibly work and if so I would like to get it from you.

Yea. All I can find are new heads or slightly used that they still want a lot for. I'm gonna check with my machine shop to see if they can weld it completely up and then re tap it.
