I'm just going to find an oem used one. I don't like not knowing for sure about the timing. I do want to run a slight advance on the timing to help the bottom end. Thank you guys anyone want a crappy 62t stator lol.

My motor is a built 61x. I recently bought an tbm AM flywheel. So I purchased a 62t stator off eBay that was rebuilt. The stator has no timing mark as it had been sand blasted off. I've study pictures and tried my best to align the timing from the pictures. It runs, starts easily. Just it seems...
Well it took my buddy almost 2 months to paint it at his shop. I finally got it back and installed everything before 4th July (2 days). It ran amazing even kept up with a sxr 800 modded. Sorry for no pics during assembly.
Here's some pics during 4th July. I didn't have all the turf done...
Completed the hood liner today
Now to complete sanding and deliver to my buddies shop to be painted. I will get more pictures soon just busy with my vehicle starting to run hot.

Lol you catch on good. Yes it is but I wanted to bring this ski back to life to last another 25 years. Just layed the mold/fiberglass for a new hood liner today tomorrow cut holes for breather tubes and maybe glass it in. Can't wait for it to be painted though highs have been in the mid 80s...

Laid one finally layer of 12oz on the tray yesterday so now the tray is done.
I started work on the hood, what a pain. I finally got the liner out and most of the green glue. My plans are pretty much do a yamaslut mod.
Originally I was going to reshape the nose but I am tired of fiberglass and...
It's been while since I've updated progress. I cut the foam for the sides. Installed Toby footholds and glassing it back together.

Not much for taking a lot of pictures. I got the tray foamed in. What a pain in the rear. I took my time to get it tightly fitted. I wanted it to be snug around my lines so a lot of fine cutting was done. Sorry I don't have a pic of it finished. I did poor expandable foam over the top and used...
I was able to get all my lines and exhaust in and sealed with 3m 5200. I went a little crazy with the 5200 but I wanted it sealed. Still glad I got the drain plugs put in. Should start foaming today. I had to order more fiberglass, used more than originally expected. I plan on cutting up the...
So I started repairs on the side of the ski where it was bondoed. I ended up just cutting the piece out. Glad I did it, had probably 1" thick of bondo. So I used plexiglass and baking sheets to make a form. I layed to layers of 17oz to feel the gap. Yesterday I glassed over it all on the...
