I run a Shorai lithium battery and I'm on year #6 with no issues. I run it in my ski during the summer and then swap it to my snowmobile in the winter. I religiously disconnect it after every use.

I'm assuming you already switched out the stock intake grate and prop? If not, a scoop grate with a Skat-Track Swirl 18/23 prop really woke my FX1 up.
