Billet stainless props. Has it been done?

I use fusion. Its manufacturing tools are very good. They all have their quirks and there are many I don’t like in fusion but I’m too invested now to easily switch to something else.

Billet stainless props. Has it been done?

Getting there. Made it configurable for different leading/trailing angle as well as hub diameter and overall diameter

Billet stainless props. Has it been done?

Nah the retail cost on these would be less than new impellers are selling for right now. People are just taking advantage of the small market with their pricing. It’s kinda foolish because it leaves the door open for somebody like me to come in and offer something affordable and higher quality...

Billet stainless props. Has it been done?

Programming it is easy. Modeling it is a bit more tricky but I’m almost done. Pictures incoming soon…

Billet stainless props. Has it been done?

Props are an issue in our hobby. Way too expensive for what they are and way too inconsistent. This is on my to-do list for CAD drawings. Shouldn’t be a hard part to cast but curious if anyone has ever done a prop machined out of billet stainless? It’s certainly 5 axis work, but really not too...

    TPE engines backstory

Don’t wanna put words in Tony’s mouth but I think he’s talking more about the setup. The cylinders do work really well out of the box. You can tweak how the motor performs by playing with the port height for example. There’s finish work you can do to the cylinders to get some extra power. The...

    TPE engines backstory

Maybe a bit off topic but this is a pretty cool video on how the cylinders are made. You can see similarities with most of the CPI cylinders. If you watch closely you’ll see those dasa cast cases at one point in the video.

    TPE engines backstory

@egbrig im not going to get Into this petty and childish argument on a message board. I didn’t intend to discredit and of your work and I’m sorry if that’s how you read my post. I was simply trying to be brief. Obviously you have a lot of work in the cylinder - no one is or has ever denied that...

    TPE engines backstory

I’m really trying to stay out of the Drama. TPE can do their thing. We can do ours. No hard feelings. TPE makes a good motor and so does JSN. Back story is simple. The cylinder comes from a company called CPI. TPE previously had exclusivity agreement to buy the cylinders and that expired. Opened...

ET 967 with HPE 5 mil kit

You don’t need a degree wheel you just need to know the piston stick out and exhaust port height. From there you can calculate the exhaust duration. You know the stroke and rod length

Manifold exhaust and carbon diffuser JSM

Nice looking part. Been playing around with casting a manifold as well. Curious if you changed the runner size, length or layout at all vs a power factor ?

ET 967 with HPE 5 mil kit

If you can’t get an answer, you might want to just mock it up and start measuring the port timing. You’ll probably be shooting for 195-198 exhaust duration maybe a little higher (guessing - I’ve never measured an ET). Another method is if you have the correct domes for the setup and know target...

    TPE964 rebuild

You are right, the wiseco pistons we stock at JSN all have the same skirt length. If anyone wants them precut for a 964, I’m happy to do that. Depending on the original builder, the skirt length can vary so I personally prefer to leave them long so people can match what they already have. If...
