I've tried a number of solvents and the best I've found is Goo Gone Xtreme, not regular goo gone (doesn't work at all). The age of the vinyl being removed directly reflects how big of a job to look forward to.

It sounds like its pretty tough. I had the bell before and felt like the guard was too close to my face and really offered little protection up front. If the shell of the cascade is as tough as the bell I'll definitely switch. I don't see the bars being an issue as caged hockey helmets...

Guys with the Cascade, what kind of impact do you think it can withstand? I like the face protection aspects but, with it being a Lax helmet, I'm wondering if its tough enough. Thoughts?
