There has alway been more to Motorsport that just being the best rider/driver. For example building a ski that can go the distance. Well done to Gomez, he was the winner fair and square in my book.
I've had 5 krash hulls myself now, and all the guys we ride with have them as well. All of them have bolt on tubbies. We assemble them with a small bead of silicone/rtv around the bolt holes on the back of the tubbies and never have any issues. I would have though this was something that would...
Krash also do a superjet based hull, it is a infused lay up. your choice of 07 or 08 bottom deck with or without rocker. Watty (who might chime in) has been purchasing them as parts and then assembling them. They are very competitivly priced, under $3000aud from memory
So your options from...
The carbon kevlar 1200 (which is a surf lay up) was a 30.8kg for just the hull from memory (70lbs). and we wieghed the completeski and got 117kg (258lbs) rtr, this is with a big lead acid battery it will be down to about 113kg (249lbs) once we fit up a lithium unit. Pretty light rtr given the...
Here's a few pics of the last couple I've done.
Assemble is reasonably straight forward. A little more time consuming compared to a rickter as you have to fit the pole bracket, hood hooks and prongs, and a few other little bits and pieces but its no big deal, and all part of setting things up...
Here’s a few fun facts

He was out there for less than 15 minutes yet still managed to get enough footage for the short vid

The footrocket has a bolt...
I haven’t weighed one myself yet but I believe the resin infused glass surf lay up JB1s turfed , wrapped and 2pak cleared hull, hood and tubbies typically come in just under 45kg which was what Nick (Krash Industries) found to be the sweet number for surf riding.
Ok this is the most recent one so I don't have a lot of pics. It is a light weight one and heaps of fun to ride, not a handfull like alot of other light hulls out there. Running a xscream 865, MSD TL, Solas 144mm pump, modded oem water box, limited b pipe, Krash adjustable foot holds (they...
Either a atp or a oem will work. On our latest build we made some small mods to the oem box which makes fitment a bit neater, I will try to get some pics
This one is my current ski which runs a jetworks 4mm stroker, Skat 144 mag pump, msd total loss, Krash double lifters and thrust trim. It has served me well over the last 12 months and is a true do it all ski, awesome in the surf and if I swap the ride plate it is capable of all the flatwater...
This one has a dasa 950, MSD TL, Skat 148mm pump, 26mm Hydto-turf underlay, RRP foot holds, (as the krash ones had not been released at time of build) thrust trim and a standard Freeride powersports wrap
