I just did this which, unknowingly, what @mikesx recommended. Heat it hot. Spray PB Blaster into it. Repeat. Repeat. Leave it alone and the next day it will come off easy peasy. Check out post #30 here...

The title of the the thread is: How to add antifreeze to crankcase?

I understand that water should not be in the crankcase. But, how does the crankcase on a 701 2-stroke drain? The exhaust manifold is up on the cylinder. It is not connected to the crankcase. What am I missing?

Yes, I will put the stock CDI back in today. However, I am not finished with my Bpipe install, so unless I can find a couple of 1/8" brass or stainless steel fittings locally, I won't be able to test it with the stock CDI because the ski won't be put back together with the B-pipe.
