Hi Eric From what i remember the first time we met was at Havasu. You came to my booth 5 or so years ago and looked at my 1160 Sled and a 1107 SJ Cylinder that was just roughed out.. You said call me let's talk about engines some time. Have been manufacturing billet cylinders for 16 years just...
Your B pipe is your limiting factor. Also MSD enhancer does not pull enough timing at top end.
B pipe is maxed at 120 hp if you have a 900 or 1100 does not make a difference.
Hers is some Crankshaft testing data .
ADR Crank full circle makes 15 hp 20 flb torque less between 5200 to 6300 rpm but make 4 hp more on top from 6600 to 7000.
than the PHP Crank.
So why does the PHP make more mid range? It is lighter and is a Pork chop style.
-The test was with same carbs...
My goal is to have fun! Build a user friendly , Reliable engine package that make a hard hitting all the way from low to mid and also a good topend power. Not looking for that 5-6 extra hp at top to loose 10-15hp at 5-6000rpm. That was my findings.
That is what I used the dyno for and It is a...
No need have all the undercuts under the bolt holes, same cooling flow as a cast cylinder 2 x 1/2 outlets on the head all is needed. just the pic to the left.
On a small note: ET has been making billet cylinders for 14 years for the sled market.
still hold the record in the 1/4 mile 8.70 at...
We talked for hours sometimes, It was about pipes and EX manifold and other gains that i found and some port angles that i found that worked. To find out a port height it is very easy just measure a cylinder. I prefered to start low on the ports and work my way up to point where I lost too much...
If you are implying that i copied Eric's engine than you are way out of line and need help or plain out lying! TPS has 9 intake ports and 3 ex as i remember when i had seen one at Havasu as Eric showed me from what i remember the port angles are completely different.. The ET has 7 intake 1 ex...
A dyno run time depends on the operator. I have done 30 second pulls wide open and also 2 second pulls, and they do repeat down to 1 hp. Have tried every combos , wet pipe with the powerfactor chamber works better all round. Dry with the PF pipe does not seem to make best results for freestyle...
the biggest problem running a charger on a 2 stroke: The exhaust pressure has to be high enough to not blow fuel/air mix out the ex, would have to run a ex outlet control valve to keep pipe pressure. It has been done but way too much to go wrong. If you want more overall power go with a bigger...
I use a Land and Sea water brake and software controlled by hand or or auto load water valve. I prefer the operate the valve manually.
The dyno stand i built 15 years ago.
