Dude, that blowup doesn't look like detonation. new engine and slighty lean maybe, you butted the rings, then blew out the top of the ring land, needed to file ring gaps a little looser when assembled

nobody saw this coming it was run with the piston in backwords you can see the sharp edges the ring end cut port is aggressive but not the only reason

correct seadoo 800 race dry pipe makes good high rpm power but seadoo starters dont like it and fail a lot
