I took it all apart in order to trace what wires went where and they all seemed fine. Its a brand new oem switch, has maybe 5 rides on it.. The ski turns over, just doest start.
We were testing for spark the ghetto way.. ill pick up a spark tester to be sure however. As far as I could tell, there is currently no spark, which is why I am so confused.
Hmm, seems like I have no understanding of what I am testing for then! Excellent, back to square one. There was no visible water anywhere in the ebox, but from all the salt, there had to have been for a long time.
Lets burn your ski to the ground (away from mine of course).. Then you can start with a new platform and not spend thousands to have a huge paper weight! Oh yea, take that pipe off first!
Yes the plugs are wet with fuel when I pull them.. Have not trimmed the wires yet, but will def. try that soon. My carbs are set at what FP recommended in their instructions, which I believe are what you stated too. I appreciate the help man!
Should the voltage to the coil be the same as the voltage coming from the coil? I have 12 going in and 6 coming out.. My ski isnt getting spark and I am pretty lost at where to start. I have been searching so I have a few ideas, mostly wires and plugs. The e-box has a ton of salt in it too...
My buddy has the exact same problem. It has spark some if the time, and not other times. We gapped the plugs a bit bigger and almost got it started. The only other thing I can think of is changing the plug wires now.
My buddy I ride with has twice in as many months broken the stock exhaust mount on the stock head. This time one bolt location broke off, and one sheered the bolt in half. Is this just from hard riding, or installation error (pretty strait forward though). I'm just curious, next week he'll have...
