when guys say "couch mounts" they are referring to the 4 engine mounts from a sit down. Superjet mounts are slightly smaller. the center "bumper" everyone just removes
there are 2 lines that go to the center of the crank area where the rotary valve gears are. most guys that premix them just loop the 2 lines together with a hose barb and make sure the lines stay full. the oils only purpose is to lube the rotary valve gear.
i have heard good things performance wise on push but never have run one. i would be nervous with a full aluminum stator in a surf situation where it is easy to send debris through the pump
for the money the thrustone shredder 155 is a great pump. i have it in my v3 boat chaser/ surf ski. it definitely hooks up in the foam in the surf alot better then an oem 155. i also like the wear ring is actually a full wear ring to some of the other 2 piece setback pumps where the prop is...
