What options exist to lower the noise? I like on a small lake on weekends and the neighbors will freak. Stock water box. Anyone use sound dampening to lower noise levels?

Anyone know of any resources for how to learn to rebuild an engine? I of course understand that experience is the best but would like to find a small college course or some books/online reading to learn?? I live in Minneapolis MN. Anyone else trying to learn this way?
