That's right! Just received some more parts from him- everything was so perfect and shipped rapidly! That team never makes any mistakes- want to be like them when I grow up!!!!

You'd probably have to change the fields to reverse rotation- use the housing with magnets off your old starter- might work for you....

That's right! The armature has/ needs a lot of endplay- cause it expands when it gets hot.

to the op- you mentioned that the starter spins but engine does not crank.... the bendix might need attention/ replacement. Unfortunately, you'd have to pull the flywheel to access it.. If you do- don't screw the 3 puller screws in any deeper than necessary,- so you don't damage the stator windings.

Just 3 sets for sale. Keeping one for my next "build".

Parts are difficult to source: there is a paucity of oem 760 stators and f/w covers on fleebay.
