Hi there just jumping in on this thread and hope you can help. i was planning on having my head milled and was wondering how much I should have it done by. it is a js440 crank with a 550 top end westcoast full system with water box, west coast arrester. hope you can help cheers Steve

I'm new to this as well but have a 440, I don't have a lanyard either but when you fall off it should turn back towards you in a circle as mine does. Adjust the carb so it ticks over nicely so it does come back when u fall. we were having trouble with our carb but adjust the low end so I'd idles...

Thanks for your reply screaming440 once posting this I looked into it and found the answer you gave about two different types etc. i had the cast iron block, so if I bought the alloy block I would have two plug the two extra holes as not needed or is it the other way round, i would be replacing...

Hi have just discovered a chunk of metal missing from the piston housing inside my block so require a new one. i am in the middle of looking at another on eBay however it does not look the same as mine. so my question is are all js440 blocks the same throughout production or are there different...
