Bilge switch: on the tray or on the handlebars

Ok, I couldn't kill those switches I posted in this thread earlier. I tortured them with salt water, hot water, heat and cycled them in and out of crap for weeks. Includes operating it under water a couple hundred times. For cheap made in Taiwan switches, they are awesome. Just over $1 each...

Bilge switch: on the tray or on the handlebars

Those switches came in today. Damn that was fast. They all checked out electrically but one had bad threads. At least I know which one to torture now. Makes me worry a little about how much you can torque them down. Was able to tighten the others pretty well. Maybe just use some lock-tite...

What do you use for Trailer Bunks?

Been running pressure treated, carpeted with Bunk Mates. They work great. I am sure they scratch things up a bit but so will the 2x4 when the carpet wares. I am thinking not to carpet next time. This way water won't be held on the 2x4 by the carpet and you can see if there are any problems...

Bilge switch: on the tray or on the handlebars

Yea, noting to get caught on. If you do hit it, won't hurt much. I plan on taking one and tryinig to destroy it. I will get something together with salt water and sand, dunk it and switch it until it dies to see what happens. I am not expecting a lot out of it I am sometimes surprised by...

Bilge switch: on the tray or on the handlebars

I just ordered some of these. Claim to be "waterproof" and potted in the back. I will see how they like salt water and sand. At $15 for 12 of them including shipping I thought I would give it a try. It only takes a 3/8" hole to mount it. Even if these made in Taiwan switches crap out every...

    B-1 Dropdeck Project

So you were talking about laying your own deck. Does anyone know some good resources for DIY carbon? I have some ideas for a new seat. Can't wait to see what you come up with on that deck.

    Lost girl friend to ski......

Wow you wrote my story!!! We used to like all of the same things...or so I thought. Turns out after being together for 21 years (married for 16 of them) she tells me she never liked any of the things I liked. WTF? What is the point then? She liked riding the couch the first few times and...

I work on them more than I ride!!!

Two things the way I see it. 1. It is a toy. You have to remember that. If you can't or don't want to work on it yourself, you need to be able to pay for someone else to do it. 2. The farther you get away from stock, the more #1 above applies in most cases But damn it is fun!
