MS109 Goodness

On advice of Art, I decided to try some MS109 mix in my engine this weekend.
I usually run a 3:2 mix of 100LL avgas with 91/92 pump gas.
Today I ran a 1:1 mix of MS109 with 91/92 pump gas.

Man, what a difference! My motor ran purdy good before, but with that mix it just turned into mean & angry!
A lot more throttle response and big gains in acceleration all around, from the bottom all the way to the top.
It really kicked performance up to the next level, I am quite impressed.

To top it off, we ran into our wakeboarding buddies again with two nice boats that did a short v-wake session for us.
I got a couple of flips in. Nothing special because just today I put a Kenny Lip Ripper on which is slightly longer than what I usually run. So I didn't make it all the way around. Very nice plate for shredding, though.
Then I started doing rolls off the v-wake. Unreal height, huge rolls - bigger than what my pansy ass has done in the surf.
By the time I finished the rotation, I still had a long ways to fall.

Thumbs up for MS109 and cool boaters.

Sweet ! , at what compression does this O2 enhanced high octane stuff start to really start to kick it ? or does it make a diff from stock to wild.

Now you have me wanting to try some. I hadn't expected it to really make a difference. What is your compression?

How does one go about getting some in the middle of Georgia? I don't imagine it can be shipped to my house.

I run MS109 w/200psi and 28* static and start pulling back my timing at 6K.

For you GA boys, VP South is in GA!!!

Matt-
I have tried 50 50 w/avgas, 113, and pump gas and MY opinion is that 50/50 with pump gas is the way to go and also happens to be the cheapest! By the time I break it all down, it costs me not much per gallon for fuel doing it this way and I get the biggest bang for the buck. I never knew until last weekend how much the avgas was holding my motor back!!! The avgas has not been all bad, knock on wood, I have yet to have any kind of internal engine failure and now the dam thing might blow up today but I sure hope it don't.

FYI, I can't tell much diff at all in 109 straight or mixed 5050 w/93 pump gas. Crammit says I am full o chit, but I can't 'fee' much diff at all.

Congrats of joining team MS109!!!

ps-the chit makes your house smell really good! (I have a attached garage) lol

Well no wonder it ran better. You got rid of the Avgas.

Avgas is pure crap!

AMEN-it allows you to run setup you can't run on pump gas, but it sure holds a motor back.
I learned this last weekend, the 1st time my motor has NOT had avgas in it since I bought it new!!!

Problem is, I need to get a hookup on the 54gal drum.
It should be significantly cheaper by the gallon than the little 5gal keg I bought yesterday, but that's not what the dealer here quoted me.
One standard SJ tank full cost me $40 yesterday.
The avgas/pump gas tank costs me $20.

I guess I'm just spoiled. I have VP105 and Sunoco 110 from the pump just a few miles away. I mix 50/50 with 91 octane.
I have Avgas at the pump 2 blocks away, but its damn near the same price as the VP105, plus Avgas is crap.. Well its good for airplanes.

It does the job @ 200psi. Problem is, now I've seen something that works MUCH MUCH better.

Crammit bolted his carbs on my ski last fall and put his tank in my ski and I instantly learned the diff between MS109 and the rest of the stuff! There is a reason it is the most expensive fuel out there-IT IS THE BEST PERFORMING FUEL OUT THERE!!! (by a long way) It was just like going from stk ig to t/l imo.
