inform my newbie head.

LOL really?! To me it makes perfect sence.

Its the guys that know what they are talkin about who spend 5-10k on their skis.

I mean really, How many Lambo owners do you think actually change their own oil? Or much less even know how?

I change the oil in my lambo myself. The dealers shop rate is way too high.

you think they care? chances are...if they own a lambo they should be able to pay somebody to change their oil. they can focus on more worldly things...such as cricket, polo, and fencing matches!

ps- i'd much rather own a superjet than a lambo...although ive never driven one so who the hell knows!

No, i think it will be just enough ski.

chris...do yourself a favor, buy a used ski like the rickter for sale, and take the other 10k and invest it in a super risky stock...where the payoff is huge but the risk is outrageous...because honestly, by putting that much into a ski, its just going to depreciate ridiculously. you're better off buying a 2 year old ski from a pro whos getting a new one, a guy whos injured himself...or a guy the last rich guy that dropped 35k on a ski and realized...woah i just wasted a ton of money and now i'm gonna sell this thing for 1/2 i put into it.

listen, i'm not one to say how to spend your money, but i can think of about 150 ways in about 1 minute of better ways you can spend some of it *cough cough* start a damn business for yourself *cough cough*

now what would be the pros and cons of wet vs dry pipes?

Water runs inside a wet pipe. In a dry pipe, the inside runs dry but has a outer jacket that the water runs through to help cool the pipe.

I run a dry pipe, and never have problems with it. Some people have a hard time with the couplers blowing out on a dry pipe. I have had mine on for about a year and a half, w no probs.

I understand that concept, but what are the pros and cons performance wise?

I already have my own business bud. And I already own 2 skis, one is lightly modified and the other one has extensive work done to it. I really don't see what the problem is to some of you guys is at the amount I am spending on my ski. I never asked how much I should spend on one did I? Either way i appreciate your mother like concern. I think it is quite funny at how much negative flack I am getting regarding the price. WHO CARES and whats it to you. Any other input you have man would be awesome. I am a big boy, work hard for my money and own some nice expensive toys that I really enjoy playing with. Now I am going to build a bad ass ski to add to my collection.
