Interesting SBT reading....read it before deleted

SBT is claiming the exact opposite. Saying someone hacked old aol accounts. They say they deleted the accounts and if they are real members the members will want to know whats going on and contact pwctoday.

Why the hell would someone go through the trouble of hacking three aol accounts just so they could defend SBT in that thread.

I guess SBT just has a devout fan group.

I guess next time I see someone bashing a Superjet I'm going to go and hack into 3 accounts just so I can defend the Superjet because I am too afraid to defend the superjet under my normal username. :haha:

They wouldn't, as an administrator of quite a few different forums over the years, the average user (not to mention 3 users) doesn't know how to "hack" a vbulletin forum via an exploit.

If that is in fact true, then I would say the QC guys there are doing one HELL of a job!

ITs likely true to some extint, I am sure they arent emplying any retired N.A.S.A. engineers, but I doubt they are driving trucks past the immigration check points looking for workers either.

Regardless though, the fact that they can sell them at that cost, with that warranty, speaks to the fact that MOST of the engines must hold together.

Or maybe they are operating at a loss? and have been for years?

I would like to know more about your current dialog with any person from SBT though.

are they still balming you?

are they being nice on the phone?

do they even SEEM to care?

do they seem competent?

do you talk to the same person every time?
or get bounced around?

I am curious about those things.

that is unless they have mexican laborors assembling chinese parts.

I don't doubt that SBT makes a decent motor and for that price with that warranty if you're the average weekend rider looking for stock engine with a good warranty then its great for you.

I have never joined in on the SBT bashing in the past. I could care less that they bought PWCToday. It was a great business decision on their part and you can't blame them for that.

I just would like to know who is behind those 3 accounts. I refuse to allow people to get away with shady/dishonest things like that.

Once again I am not directly accusing SBT of anything, but I think SBT needs to get to the bottom of this and clarify exactly who used those 3 accounts.

Someone just needs to fess up and come clean before this gets completely out of hand.

On a different note.....I was considering getting a yamaha 760 motor from SBT......not so sure about that now.......I was considering it cause my core is frozen solid.....all the bolts are out......cant get the crank or pistons loose....anything I can soak it in.......BTW for suggestions on my 760 issue....please PM the response.....I don't want to divert this thread.....thanks

My last contact with anyone from SBT via phone was confirming shipment of my second set of heads that I installed (the ones I found to be defective). They were "nice enough," I guess competent to do what they're there to do. One thing that annoyed me is that they needed by serial number before they could proceed with the head exchange. They had all my info and are able to cross reference, but would not do it. SBT made some excuse on their forums about it...

The only people I've dealt with has been the warranty department. After all this garbage that's gone on I have my doubt about speaking to anyone in the tech department.

I plan to if this motor does not overheat tho. 1 year of chasing a ghost problem is not cool.

Welcome javiert, once you get this problem ski up and running you should sell it and get yourself a Superjet/or Blaster 1 .lol, then you will truly be a member of the X! Cant beat the yamadog 701's.

exactly. i mean, seriously, i dont think sbt is that terrible. i mean, for the amount of volume business they do, obviously theyre gonna have some mistakes and some disgruntled customers, but seriously, think about their volume.

like we've said 100 times before, it all comes down to customer service. they are sticking to their warranty policies for this guy.. so, wheres the problem?

if that were someone on this site posting that about one of the shops that support/post here, theyd probably get slammed .. told to take it to pm's ...etc..

the laborers, in which i speak, have already crossed the border. no need for sbt to drive anywhere. cheap unskilled labor is cheap unskilled labor.

thats what they want you to think. have you ever read their core exchange policy or do you know anything about it? THATS where they make their money. for instance, if you send them an engine that has a cracked case and a pitted head, they will contact you and tell you that you need new ones. they will then charge you RETAIL for NEW parts, but they install used parts.

On the heads I exchanged there's a $75 fee per head if I do not return them.

I checked the price on BRAND NEW Polaris domes for an SL900, $22 each.

In a nutshell, I am not calling anybody out............. if you think you may have crossed a line, go back and look............... if not, then it not directed at you....... (this applies to everybody)...

SBT is a business, if a member here or there makes a post and it is without basis "SBT's Motors are Junk............etc etc" without first hand knowledge, then they can and will try to file a Libel claim............ check out the warning they gave Metal4130...... (think that correct screen name.)........ there was an underlying meaning there............. "Show us the proof in 24 hours or you will be banned and post deleted." Will they go as far as filing a Lawsuit??? I dont know and do not want to find out.....................
