The seals are rubber and they dryrot fast if you leave them near a heatsource. The suit itself will last as long as you dont f it up. Its not like a wetsuit that is rubber, its a nylon laminate type material and is pretty tough. Mine took 5years before the wrist seal split on my DUI suit. But they can be replaced. I think watcon actually does that service too. Have to take care of the zipper too (wax it), thats the most expensive part on the suit.

dry suits kick ass, i loved my watcon suit. i went through a set of seals every 6 months or so because i used it 2-3 times a week.
nothing like riding dry!!
now i rock a jetpilot chamber front zip and it is the nicest suit ive ever worn, almost as warm as the drysuit.

What shoes did you use with the watcon suit with the rubber feet? I used 5mm surf booties but they dont have too good of traction and wear out fast.

Second coldest day I ever rode, 38F air - 37F water. We were sweating because we had too many layers on under the suit. Coldest ever was 23Fair, 39F water. We had ice on us and the ski when we came back in....LOL Like Stanton said....NOTHING LIKE RIDING DRY. I have 6 wetsuits right now (and I use them), but when you are done riding and you have to change...its SOOOOO nice having a drysuit. Plus no initial cold while the wetsuit fills up.

I have the Slippery front entry drysuit, black/grey, not the ugly purple/red/yellow/whatever it was. It's awesome, got it back in ~1999 maybe and it was like $260 deal cost back then. They aren't available anymore, but I consider it the best jetski drysuit ever made. Mobby's made it and still make a similar one but with the exchange rate to Japanese Yen, it's crazy expensive.

Yes the old slippery suits are very nice, XFT-Lou has one of those.
