Daytona report

Thiursday afternoon:
Arrived around 2 pm, counted over 60 skis on the beach and more arriving all the time.......... This is going to be good.
Lots of Blasters and X-2's!
Cold..........waves are going to be 3-4 ft tomorrow in 2 sec intervals.
Sorry no pics, I am too lazy today............maybe tomorrow.

i got a phone call... said it was sick surf, but only 2 sec intervals... and very cold.

I'm not missing it one bit this year, yes it's a great party, but the rest of it, the riding and weather looks yucky.

I just packed my double thick - double sized sleeping bag....and my winter jacket, and a second pair of jeans (I never wear anything but shorts where I live).
Guess I can leave the sunscreen at home this year...

surf-station.com 90 miles north says stomach high surf friday afternoon.

Today was COLD to say the least!!! Wind blowing 12-15 from the north, waves looked to be about 5 feet way out and 3-4 foot breakers about 2 seconds apart.
Here's a few pics:

I could'nt resist the snow covered dodge truck from NY (there are many here covered with snow).

One truck from California towing a custom made 8 place trailer definitely gets the longest distance prize!

Way over 100 skis here today.....:headbang:

Waves were decent and smoother out farther and the air is cold but the water temp isn't bad, there were guys without wet suits and one brave guy on a x2 wearing a speedo only
