Missing Motocross!!!!!

I am so pissed with the marine corps sometimes. I am here in Beaufort and the closest AMA track is like 3 hours away. Back in D14 in Michigan i could drive 3 hours any direction and find 3 or 4 AMA tracks.

I grew up racing motocross racing 125 and 250 B last. i gave it up when i got down here now and its just killing me. I have been able to replace my time with these stand up skis but i dont know if i will be able to convert my Motocrosser blood completly. I do pretty good and havent tought about it much latly but sometimes it just hits you.

This thread might be pointless but i MISS racing. So you guys that are still out there tearing it up looking for the sponser feel free to send me a bike. lol

i get to ride when i go home during the summer and borrow a friends bike or a dealer bike ( C&C motorsports i spent a few years behind the parts counter funding my MX).

ive had a 250, couple of 450f's, and now i'm back on a 125. im doing the north-shore/wax-on-wax-off/back-to-the-basics thing. my lap times on the 125 are about 3-4 seconds off what they were on the 450f. the 450f made me too lazy. im riding the 125 to get my corners up, then i'll probably pick up another 450f. i rode my boys 09 kx450f last weekend... the thing is SSSIIIICCCCK.

ya i was thinking about riding another ktm 125 next. I came off a RMZ 250 and it was ok but after a few four strokes you do get lazy. But when you ride a two stroke then ride a four stroke again you relize how much easier it is on a 4stroke. So its good to switch back and fourth i think.

The 4 is way easier to ride but makes you lazy
the 2 is hard to ride but makes you a better rider

its nice though to f ** up you approch to a big jump and know you can still just twist the throttle on the 450 and still make it. instead of Feathering the clutch all the way and hoping your seat bounch gets you there. lol

ya i was thinking about riding another ktm 125 next. I came off a RMZ 250 and it was ok but after a few four strokes you do get lazy. But when you ride a two stroke then ride a four stroke again you relize how much easier it is on a 4stroke. So its good to switch back and fourth i think.

lol, thats funny you say that. thats what we tell the "haters". we call our 450 "cheater bikes". they really are safer. you can just lug that bitch out of a corner and still clear the jump.

my boss is selling his rm250 and picking up a ktm 144sx. he's like 50yrs old an d 210lbs (really good shape, hes just tall). gotta give the man credit. he's the one that sold me my yz125 im riding now. i was out of the sport for about 6 months (3 herniated discs), but got sick of sitting on the couch getting fat. i couldnt take not riding anymore.

a 144 sx huh? i used to race 16-24 open on a bored ktm.

they have my money for sure when i get back to the sport. KTM is my fav.

theres a bunch of ktm fanboys on here. theyll probably pop in soon enough.

although theyre all still in the "trailriding is awesome" stage. i dont think any of them has hit a track yet. we've been trying to get them to come with us for 3-4 years now but they keep resisting. :smile:
