Yankee's build-complete

On the last pic of post #39, you can see how my foothold was bent outward due to wierd warping and foam. So my dad and I pried the hold out, and he had the idea to drill holes in pennies to use as little backing plates, then rivet them to hold the foothold flush. :hail: It worked really good and then i was able to glass over the holds.

Grind those ribs and put another layer of glass around the nose. Your going to put your boat through hell learning to roll.

Hope to ride with you this summer. --Wheels

I'm probably going to leave it as is, its a pain working in the nose. Not to mention i just learned im allergic to ( i think ) the resin, i got a rash and itchy bumps on face and arms. I might take a look and see how the glass dried, and add a little where need be.

Hit me or goose up if your comming near harrisburg. I usually go to blue marsh a few times, so we'll have to get together.

you could get some buffing compound and polish and just buff it, sand wet with 3000 grit buff with a cutting compund then polish, pretty easy on the flat surfaces on a SN

Look What I got!

It was in a cardboard box, engine wrapped in a shirt, and carb in a towel. Its all dirty ( no biggie ) im not sure if dirt is in the engine and what not, theres some in the carb ( which is retail ) Also look at the one picture, the wire going from stator t e-box has a break in it, with 2 exposed wires. I assume this can be fixed?

I forgot to add what it is that i got in the mail today. The motor above is what ill be running. Its a 62t case/61x cylinder, cool girdle head, 61x electrics, i was told 180 compression, 83mm bore ( 730cc ) with BCW mild freestyle port job. The carb in the pics is a retail mikuni 44, on a BCW intake with reed stuffers, i dont know what reeds are in there. Not sure what carb set up ill end up with. Ill also need an exhaust manifold.

Your welcome

Not a problem. You even learned how to paint. At least primer and paint, next you can learn how to clear.I think it turned out nice for a backyard paint job.:bigok:
