How many layers of carbon is that hood and can you make them out of diffrent color of carbon?

he called it visual carbon. I'm pretty sure that means it's fiberglass with one layer of carbon on the top. My 24-7 hood has 1 layer of visual carbon on the underhood insert.
please correct me if I'm wrong steve.

It's more than one layer but it does have some glass to give it some density. The part you see only has one layer of carbon and a skin coat behind it. It will have more to it once it is done . I just didn't want to invest too much time if the part wasn't going to come out perfect.
I have already completed one carbon hood and it is currently at the painter getting some clear coat. I will post some pics as soon as it comes out.

I think it looks realy good Steve. Kudos! We had countless failures when we first started using resin infusion/bagging. The learning curve is steep and expensive.

i second that crammit we had a few f**k up as well but its so cool standing there watching the resin been drawn thro the mold . now pre preg that was expensive to get right we have had a few failures with that
