300/440/550 X2 Exhaust question?

I am going to move my exhaust up a couple of inches on my X2. Can I just cut a new hole in the hull, glass over the old one, cut the exhaust hose shorter and put in the new outlet or is there something more to it than that? It just seems too simple. . .?

Why go to all that work for just 2 inches? My complaint with the stock location is it will want to rub on the A/M pipe. Set your pipe in there and see where the best location really is. And if going with tubbies.......

I also do not see the advantage to this. I think you mean you are locating the new exit location forward, not above the OEM location? I don't see where that adds value..... Prof

Move it up enough so the tube goes in a straight line from the water box to the outlet. Should be a 3 -4 inch hose.

That's my plan. I just didn't know if it would cause any other problems.
