This is a little suspect http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/octa...tegoryZ63683QQihZ003QQitemZ130038262374QQrdZ1

The seller emailed me, with this message.

Dear eBay Member,
I`am the seller of the item you have bid on . You can see the item number on the Subject name of this email. Because i have a work contract in UK and i have to leave country and the city of course i will have to stop the auction.
I am ready to sell the item to you, at your last bid price .If you agree please respond to this email as soon as posible so we can make the deal.
Please contact me at: aaselleraa@yahoo.com
Thank you

Sounds a little suspect to inspector Oyster.

fl-cracker or wavedemon might know the boat it is over in there area..... they might be able to tell if it is legit or not..... i am thinking a scam because wamiltons is in west palm beach, not ft lauderdale

Great price on a great ski.

It's too bad he "had to leave country and the city of course and had to stop the auction." No doubt the ski is in storage and cannot be seen locally but thankfully, he will probably ship it to you for free. I would ask him if you can send him a cashier's check with excess amount that he can cash and simply refund you the difference.

There is a good chance the auction is real but the email that was sent to you is the scam. Is the email address the same as his ebay email? I would "ask seller a question" and see if he emailed you that note.

Meaning I'm not associated with any scammers here, on ebay or pwct.
and yes go to pwct and see he is a newbie.

Or it could be that someone stole his pics of that octane also and is the scammer.

wow. I know for sure this ski is not a scam , but that message or email you got was a scam through ebay.
I just found out about this ski through my friend Grant... i guess his friend has this ski for sale.... but damn $4000! I just found out about it last week and it was for sale for $5000. I can get a phone number for anyone who is interested...??
