Wow! So this is how gay freestyling has become. Stiff, hard on stance is in and tweaking is out. There are times when going straight legged is warranted but for the most part it looks stupid. Also, contrary to popular belief, pulling up on the back of the ski helps to unweight the ski to help you get the ski higher it work well on flat water. Riding like a boner is soul-less

So you are arguing that squatting looks better? I can't believe I'm reading this. Even when riding surf stance I try to stay as vertical as possible when JUMPING STRAIGHT. Vertical is also the SAFE way to jump straight when you are getting any altitude. Like Nick said, if you are squatted at all, you WILL collapse into the tray and you'll look like a retard throughout your flight and landing.
Just because your opinion differs from the MAJORITY doesn't mean that the rest of us are wrong and simply engaging in a circle of self pleasure.

it's imposible to do a tail whip on a ski. are you planning on installing wheels and a chaid drive or a some kind of gyroscope to your sj?
the original post was about people who jump in surf and don't do any tricks durring the jump. I'm pretty entertained to see you guys twist this thread though.

That's also not what this discussion is about. I believe that everyone is in agreement that during any kind of grab or NON STRAIGHT jump, bending of the knees is not only acceptable, but usually necessary. Stay on track.
