300/440/550 Are 440/550's, 650's, X-2's coming back???

I do a little selling on ebay and the only parts that seem to be moving are the older X-2, 440/550, 650 parts? Are these water craft becoming real popular again? Anyone got any info? Thanks!

I really think that the reason that you are seeing more for sale is that people do NOT like them, in my experience I do not usually sell things that I enjoy and use often, especially things that are not longer being produced IMHO.

Lookin for stuff for the square and seeing ALL kinds of performance stuff for the 650SX, picked up Skat blueprinted pump and lightened driveshaft for cheapo. The old Kaw's are a blast to ride, love mine

I almost boght two 550's they were an incredible deal and came w/ a trailer all for $750 but I passed because I really wanted either an X2 or SJ. I kicked myself for a while but the more I looked the more really cheap 550s I saw, seems like 550s are a dime a dozen.

You know how it is, people want the newest, the fastest, the best. We grew up riding the 440-550 so when the 650 came out it was like WOW, these Kick butt! Had my 650SX and Waverunner since 90 and 91 and never had to work on them except for the occasional carb kit. Thats reliability. Picked up a 94 Squarenose for 600$ this summer, thats the one we are gonna spend some money on!

Riding Kaw's since the beginning of time, got a square the end of summer and the SJ straight line is not directionally stable. Wants to break to one side or the other. Put her in a turn and nail it and it is on rails, in the groove. Killer!
All the best fighter jets are unstable.

Great input. It seems that there is more to this. I heard a rumor(not sure where, an old post maybe?) that 440/550 were outlawed or going to be outlawed in California, any truth to this?

Over the summer I did see a european X-2. Pretty neat looking. The front half looked like an SX-R and rear resembled the old X-2?

I love my old 550's and my X-2 but my 650sx rules the garage. I also buy the parts because they are cheap preformance not because the skis break alot.
