rust? both my skis are saltwater skis and none of the ADA girdle studs have yet to rust.

Are you sure they're ADA studs? None of mine have ever rusted.

There is some rumor I heard that they were getting away from stainless but this is not going to work at all and makes no sense to me....it does say chrome nuts on their website.

mine came out of the packaging with surface rust.

So I called ADA today, and they say studs are not made in house anymore, but sourced out and should still be all stainless as always.....

Lol. Stainless do oxidize. The oxidation is just clear.

None of my studs have ever rusted either, but it seems like a good mix of both situations. Hopefully they get it straightened out for you.

I ordered a new one a day or 2 ago. I'll let ya know what I get.
Some grades of stainless will oxidize, or rust. Some grades are even magnetic. But a magnet and visual inspection is all I can offer.

Meh, no need for that, just want the right chit so we can finish the install, this deal was almost no deal. BTW heavily magnetic like plain steel.
