Blaster pics...post em

Lee's and my skis are identical in terms of shape. His is made of full carbon and mine is made of S glass with a carbon/kevlar inner liner. I think his is a little lighter than mine, but not much. I always thought that Yamaha made a huge mistake not bringing this hull to the market. It hooks up and handles so much better than a stock blaster it isn't even funny. Had they brought this hull with a 760 engine to market, I truly believe sport class woudl be MUCH larger. HXs kind of killed the sport class because they aren't really good for much other than racing, where a Blaster is fun on the course, play riding, surf ridng, etc, etc, etc!!!

Yeah I followed the sport class very closely in the mid-90's with Farthing, Judge, Mac, Motzouris, etc. Those were the days. At the time I was about 12-13 and I was getting ready to race my blaster when I turned 14, but before I turned 14 the age was changed to 16, unlike it is today with a juniors class which I think is great for the sport. Anyways by the time I turned 16 I had focused on what all 16 years old think about so I sold my blaster and superjet to put the money towards a car. Thinking back on it I really wish my parents would have changed my birth certificate so I could have raced earlier like Farthings parents did for him. Oh well.

A lot of people hate the HX b/c they think it killed the sport class, but thats racing. Like you said Yamaha should have come back and put a mod style hull into production to compete with the hx's. I think if they would have done that racing overall would be a lot different today. Instead they focused more on the Runabouts.

I want to give a big thanks to guys like your crew in Region 8, Lee, Waterworx, Phil (Blaster212) (I know I'm leaving some out) for keeping the sport class alive.

P.S. Where can I find some better coverage of the sport class races like pictures and videos. I would really like to see some videos of the Nationals sport class motos. The sport class just doesn't get the attention it deserves.

If I won the lotto one of the first things that I would buy would be a Wamiltons Mod Hull Blaster with brand new OEM Top deck (I think he has like 2 new top decks left from a supply Yamaha gave him back in the late 90's) with a Judge Stoker Lamey, TL, Mag pump, etc.

Hell thats only about a $20K-25K boat. Thats still a lot cheaper than what a lot of people have in these freakin runabouts.

Any more info on this hull or pics. I'm a new blaster owner and would love to race one day if budget/time permits. I'm sure its spendy, but any info would be nice. THANKS!!

Here are a few pics of my B1 from this last weekends Tejas surf ride. Thanks to Parrdaddy's wife for the pics.
