Super Jet Yet another Crank Seal Question

So, I pulled my flywheel because my stator came loose and bounced all over the place causing some carnage. When the flywheel came off. there was a good deal of what I can only guess is a mixture of premix and grease. It smells like gas, but is viscous and grey in color. Does this mean 100% that my crank seal croaked?

(Guessing I should just do a leak down anyhow, yes?)

If so, I've been reading about replacing crank seals and it mentions 'aligning bearings' what exactly are we talking about here?

On the bearings there are some tiny holes. On the top case section where the bearings rest (The Seat) there are small pins. You have to rotate each bearing until the bearings set down on the pin. This can be a pain in the butt. It is almost like you have to hover the crank and rotate the bearings until you feel the pin go on, then go to the next bearing.

The cases wont go together very well unless all the pins are properly seated. When I was watching @jo5hi3 put my bottom end back together, he started with the middle bearing and worked his way out and it seemed to work very well that way.

put the top case upside down and set the crank in. spin the bearings till they click into place and wont spin. Then move to the next. its very simple. if this is daunting you do, do not pull apart your motor.

Its not bad at all man...you will feel the crank bearings settle on the pins. And if you get it right the cranks halves will mate up perfectly.

I still F with the rubiks cube at 43 years old and can't get it! I even watch youtube vids and can't do it (*^*&%*@)(&!
