So last night i was bored with my ski since its pretty much done just waiting on my footholds decided to make a custom flame arrestor.

+NO MORE BULKYNESS
+you can get to everything easy such as carb tuning

Remember i started this LAST night.. its still in the making but im REALLY happy how it is and seals

What i thought is i cant make it smaller with out loosing air flow, so i made it smaller but made the other end open too!

It still needs finishing...

ill work on it more after work tonight

any input ideas let me know

can you incorporate the small stainless screens from the OEM flame arrestors into the ends?

you could pull a panty hose leg over each end.

Looks like a pretty cool idea.

Looks good.
If the ski is on it's side and there is water in the hull, this looks like it would stll suck up water. What about sealing the sides and opening the front (facing head) so it draws more from the center and avoids water ingestion when on its side.

Now if you were to wrap your gas tank to match, that'd be gorgeous. You could leave one 'slit' open as a fuel gauge.
