I have a 9/15 hooker, but was thinking of getting a 12/17 skat trak. I was told this a better prop for my setup. So what does everyone think about this swap????

I can kinda let you know my opinion tomorrow. My 13/16-3 is at impros getting fixed so tomorrow I am trying a hooker 10/16 cutback for the first time.

I don't know man....I LOVE my 13/16! LOOOVE it!

I have a 12/17 SKat swirl cutback and it works well, but have never tried a hooker(impeller) before..lol
So i cant really say if its better for you or not and like Chris says, whats your set up?

I can tell you that my Skat swirl was better for me than any Solas I tried(regular/Concord).

I believe it was Matt_E that had a 13-18 skat swirl and swapped to a 9-15 hooker but didn't notice any difference. Maybe he can chime in on this if I remember correctly.

between the two there is not much difference. Application to Application. The Hooker to me was better but not by much. Like I posted in my review. If you had an old style prop then yeah, they are worth it. In this case he is wanting to go from a Hooker to a Swirl. Not going to be much difference. Going from a Hooker to an old style prop, would be a huge negative difference.

I noticed you say that you have a bored pump nozzle and a stubby cone. Sometimes that is too much flow and you are loosing needed pump pressure.

I had a pump nozzle that LPW bored out to 85m and the Wetwolf cone and was talking to Art@Jetworks one day and he suggested I try and go back and try the OEM cone w/ the bored nozzle. I tried this and it really helped.. Just a suggestion...
All you can do is try different combos.
But Im betting on the hooker also...

I'm running a 9/15 hooker with a bored nozzle. I was told to stick with the stock cone as well...on more than one occasion.

I couldn't do a short cone with 85mm nozzle....and I left my stock cone on my pump when I sent it to Impros.

So with this 10/16 hooker I went back to a stock 80mm nozzle and I a short cone I had laying around.

Its all ready for our 5-7 footers tomorrow! I will know right away whats up because my 13/16-3 ripped perfect....so the same or better would be cool..
